Active Travel

The parish is a perfect place to hone your Active Travel habits! From the Strawberry Way to footpaths, from national cycle routes to bus journeys, there are many ways to get around without car usage.

In doing so, you can

  • enjoy the landscape peacefully and congestion-free
  • help to reduce pollution and ease demand on the resource-ravenous car industry
  • see places from different angles
  • support (and relish) the natural environment in so many ways

The Parish Council is committed to developing Active Travel as a resilient, accessible and ideally a default way of travelling in, around and beyond the parish & city of Wells.
