Theft of contractor's equipment at Wookey Hole allotments on 22nd August

At about 2pm today, our contractors informed the Council that while they were working with noisy machinery, the rest of their tools and money had been stolen from their truck. A tenant who was working on their plot, told them that they had seen a black Ford Cougar leaving the site not long before.

The matter has been reported to the police - apparently there was a similar attempted theft just before this incident but the alarm went off on that truck.

Please spread the word to make as many people as possible aware that if they are offered cheap tools, they could be our contractors' stolen tools and to report the matter to the police (a crime number has not yet been issued.
