St Cuthbert (Out) Parish Council

Welcome to the beautiful parish of St Cuthbert (Out) in Somerset!

St Cuthbert (Out) Parish Council provides your local services. We strive to make the surrounding villages around Wells a better place to live, work and visit. Our website includes a wealth of information about how we conduct business and what we do. Use the search or browse the site to find whatever you are looking for. If you can't find the information you require then please contact us.

St Cuthbert (Out) Parish Council serves a community of approximately 5,000 residents. It consists of 17 Councillors elected for a term of four years who will now hold office until May 2023. Our Parish Councillors are elected holders of public office, who voluntarily work and they receive no financial allowances for their term in office.

St Cuthbert (Out) Parish Council has an incredible diversity of landscape and heart-stopping scenery. From idyllic villages, the parish stretches from the eastern end of the Somerset levels, through coombes, woodland, meadow, pasture and the ancient landscape at the height of the Mendip Hills.

From certain vantages points, the Quantocks, the Bristol Channel, King Alfred's Tower in Wiltshire and of course the iconic Glastonbury Tor can be seen and the Pen Hill Transmitting mast is a landmark for miles around.

More information about the parish and the area around the Mendip Hills can be found on the local history page of this website. Most of the pictures on this website have been provided by councillors.
